History

Summit City United officially began its journey in April 2024, bringing professional indoor soccer to Fort Wayne, Indiana, through the Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS). What started as a bold vision quickly became reality, as our men’s and women’s teams stepped onto the field with passion, purpose, and pride.

In our inaugural season, the Summit City United men’s team made a strong impression, finishing 6th in the MLIS and setting a solid foundation for future growth. Meanwhile, our women’s team, competing in the Women’s Major League Indoor Soccer (WMLIS), made an immediate impact — battling their way to the League Finals and earning recognition as a rising powerhouse in the league.

From the beginning, our mission has been clear: to elevate the sport of soccer in Fort Wayne by providing high-level playing opportunities, professional coaching, and a structured pathway for local talent to grow and succeed.

More than a club, Summit City United is a movement — a community-driven organization rooted in passion, excellence, and unity. Whether it’s our athletes, coaches, staff, or supporters, everyone plays a role in building a club that stands for development, opportunity, and pride in Fort Wayne.
